Oyemi is a Neo-soul Singer with a bit of
jazzy feel, a songwriter and an aspiring actress.
Oyemi Joyce Sagay grew up listening to
great collection of songs her parents acquired over the years from pure love of
music. She listened to music like Miriam Makeba, Evelyn King, Yvonne Chaka
Chaka, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight and so many more.
She started training her voice listening to
Whitney Huston and Mariah Carey and then she went on tour with Dede Mabiaku,
Seun Kuti and Ade Bantu.
She
had her first acting role, some few years ago, in a soap “Circle of Three”
alongside Bimbo Akintola, Kate Henshaw, Keppy Ekpeyong, Ireti Doyle and many
more.
