There is still no respite for the people of Chibok. The school girls kidnapped over two months ago in the local government in Borno have still not been found. Since then there have been other kidnaps and attacks in the place which have not been as prominently reported.
On Sunday, it was yet another tragedy for the people as at least 40 persons were killed when suspected Islamic militants attacked Chuha  A, Chuha B and Korongilim, villages in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, a community leader and local vigilance official, said.
Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, the official, Musa Bilau said:
“Some suspected Boko Haram terrorists invaded Chuha A, Chuha B and Korongilim villages in Borno, killing over 40 persons. The terrorists injured many other villagers, burnt many houses and made away with our foodstuff.
“The attack, which commenced at about 7.00 a.m, lasted for over five hours before we got military intervention. Residents of the community put several telephone calls through to the military, who arrived at the villages after 40 people had been killed.
“Corpses of affected people still littered the three villages. Our fear is that innocent villagers may be hit in the ongoing bombings by the military,” Bilau said on phone.
Chairman, local vigilante group in the state Abba Aji Khalil, confirmed the attack, adding that his group “is already in the pursuit of the suspected terrorists.”
