Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Bala Ngilari, has resigned his position as the number two man in the state. Ngilari and the state governor Murtala Nyako, have been facing impeachment charges over the last weeks, this is believed to have led to his resignation.
Ngilari’s resignation letter which was read at the plenary by the speaker of the Assembly, Umaru Fintiri, is expected to put pressure on Governor Nyako to do the same. Ngilari’s resignation has however been approved by the lawmakers.
